ARE YOU DUE A REFUND ON YOUR FLORIDA AUTO INSURANCE?

Admin • Aug 12, 2021

Here at B&B Insurance in Lantana, we have been getting a lot of questions about refunds on the premiums paid for car insurance from our Boynton Beach, Lake Worth clients as well as those living – and driving – in other area communities.

It’s all because of the Covid-19 pandemic. (Of course, it is. Isn’t everything these days?) People are driving less. So many of us are working from home, so there’s no rush hour commute to the office. And at the end of the day, you’re not going to be going out to meet your friends for happy hour or to take the family out for dinner. In fact, because of the need to slow the spread of this dangerous virus, for much of the year, there hasn’t been much of anywhere to go.

Since most of us have primarily been driving for only essential errands like grocery shopping or going to the doctor, we haven’t been racking up too many miles on the odometer. So, since they are driving less, many of the good people who get their Florida auto insurance through our Lake Worth/Lantana car insurance agency, are asking us shouldn’t they be paying less?

It’s a good question! And in most cases, the answer is “Yes, you will be paying less!”

FLORIDA AUTO INSURANCE REFUNDS

Florida is not known for having the safest or most courteous drivers. Our auto insurance rates reflect this. With the Covid-19 pandemic keeping many of us – and many of those risky drivers – home for one reason or another, there is less of a chance that you will get into an accident. That means the car insurance companies have lower risk exposure.

Among the many insurers who are offering refunds are:

  • Allstate
  • Geico
  • The Hartford
  • Liberty Mutual
  • Nationwide
  • Progressive
  • Safeco
  • State Farm
  • Travelers and
  • USAA

If you have not received a refund on your Florida auto insurance policy and still have questions, please contact the specialists at our Lantana car insurance agency. We would be happy to help you.
